Nature and the sea were always important to Tove Jansson, her love for nature is often reflected in the world of Moomin. Tove spent her summers on her beloved island, Klovharun, in the Pellinge archipelago. In the 70s, Tove and Lars Jansson produced several Moomin posters, exclusively for the Keep Sweden Tidy Foundation, for the campaign “Saving the Baltic Sea”.
