Moomin Arabia's collection novelty, named "Friends Forever & Family Time" reminds us of how precious our time with our nearest and dearest is. The novelties from ceramics to textiles and cutlery become available on January 30th, 2025.
The new collection consists of a large selection of products, including two Moomin mugs, bowls, a pitcher, plates, trays and textiles. Additionally, the Moomin cutlery collection is refreshed with illustrations picked from the novelties.
Back to childhood adventures with Friends Forever
The Friends Forever items depict the special bond between Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Little My. They evoke childhood memories of climbing trees and embarking on adventures with lifelong friends. Although Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Little My have different personalities and ways, their diversity only makes their shared adventures more meaningful.
The illustrations are inspired by the comic The Conscientious Moomin (1958), in which the Moomins try to live thoughtfully but ultimately discover that the true joy in life comes from doing what makes you happy and enjoying precious moments with friends and family.
The story unfolds through various fun scenes featuring Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Little My, set against lush tree foliage and blooming meadows. The muted tones create a lovely, calm atmosphere at the dining table, kitchen, bedroom or bathroom.
Family Time focuses on the Moomin family
The Family Time novelties feature the Moomin family, depicting their unconditional love and the joy of being together.
The illustration of the Moomin family’s happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse, featured on the mug, bedlinen, and towels, is based on the comic Moomin and Family Life (1955). In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea and realise he is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together.
Complementing this story, other items feature the family enjoying their time together in leisurely coziness and embracing the adventurous possibilities of the beautiful Moominvalley.
Family Time is characterised by warm yellow and pink main tones, creating a welcoming atmosphere in any home space.
Textiles for bath, bed and kitchen
The colours and illustrations from the ceramics are repeated in the textiles. The towels, bathrobes, bed linen, oven mitts and pot holders are great gifts for loved ones.
The diverse selection of ceramics and textiles for bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen will be included in Moomin Arabia’s continuous collections and will become available from January 30 to wide distribution.
Everyone’s invited to join the Moomin 80 anniversary
Moomin Arabia is taking part in celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Moomin stories with special launches, events and contests worldwide. The celebration centres around the first Moomin tale, The Moomins and the Great Flood. The central theme of the anniversary year is the Moominhouse and what it stands for – a sense of belonging, a place where the door is always open.
In honour of the anniversary, the ceramics in the new collection will feature the Moomin 80 bottom stamp.
